"Deadly little Miho."

Deadly little Miho. That has been one of my all-time favorite lines in comic-books. Chills ran down my spine every time I read those words. Seriously, every gorgeous black-and-white kick-ass panel featuring Miho was fangirled by me.

I also always loved the concept of Old Town. There was a time I remembered their names, you know. I now have this urge to go and rent all the comics again. Graphic novels, whatever they're officially called.

I also remember the utter horror my oh-so-much-younger self was feeling when I read That Yellow Bastard for the first time. ...many ugly sick things happening in the world came to life much better than ever from the news.

And the movie? It was perfect. It was flowing living breathing Miller-quality. *fangirls it* ...it may of course be randomly surprising to those that know me from um hugging bunnies and always being the peace-maker and hating horror-movies. What can I say, I like dark antiheros as much as some others. >.> And poetic justice. And movies where everything doesn't end up in Disney-sunshine and happiness. (Not mocking Disney, mind you, I like some of their stuff lots. Just saying not everything should be like that. :P)

There were a lot of favorite moments. Dwight and Gail going at it in the end of the Big Fat Kill. Hartigan's end. "Fair trade." ...I get always all sniffly at Hartigan. ; ; Marv's end! "Is that the best you got, pansies?" Dwight sinking into the tar pit and Miho saving him, all done in Miller-silhouette... too many favorite moments to mention, really. And of course all the parts with Miho. *chibis cheer at Miho... quietly >.> <.< o.o*

Edit: O.O Found this~ ...it compares shots of the movie to the panels of the graphic novel. Gorgeous.

Rutger Hauer.
Elijah Wood in creepy mode.

Lotr fangirls: ooh, this film has Elijah Wood in!
Elijah: *doesn't talk and eats people*
Fangirls: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I've never read the graphic novels, but boy did I love this film.

You should read the graphic novels, omg! They're just as dark and insanely good as the movie was.

And omg, was Elijah Wood CREEPY. Such a good work. *applauds*

And yeah, the guy with the arrow in his chest was good. And omg Jacky Boy talking in the car. While being dead. >.>
